Ash Wednesday Worship

Join us at 8:00pm on Wednesday, February 14, for our Ash Wednesday worship service in the Meeting House. We will mark the beginning of Lent, a season of preparation for Easter, with this traditional service that offers time for reflection, Communion, prayer, and penance. We emphasize the anointing with oil over the traditional imposition of ashes as a way of honoring Jesus’ encouragement in Matthew 6:16-18, “so that your fasting may be seen not by others but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” We invite everyone to begin their Lenten journey with us for this service of worship, whether in person or via livestream.
