Quest Grade 9-12

Quest is an intentional faith gathering for senior high school youth who want to explore their Christian faith and its application in their lives.  It is a twice-monthly program that focuses on Bible Study, Table Fellowship, and Worship.

One Thursday night a month, our youth are invited to join our Pastor, Chapin Garner, for a meal, bible study, and prayer. The food will be prepared by local chefs from diverse backgrounds who will also be offered the opportunity to share a little of their faith and their stories with their kids.  So, much of Jesus’ ministry was focused on food and the dinner table, and we will be offering that same opportunity to our teens. In addition to our monthly meal, Quest participants will engage in and possibly help lead our Sunday Evening Worship services on the first Sundays of the month. The scripture explored during dinner will be the same scripture used to lead worship.

Quest is more than just a gathering. It is a time of spiritual retreat. It is a time when our kids can set aside their devices, pause in the midst of their busy schedules, and be present to one another and to the movement of the Holy Spirit in their lives. In keeping with that retreat theme, we will be taking eligible Quest kids to Canandaigua Lake from June 19–25. This time of spiritual and scriptural reflection will help focus our kids on the Lord’s call on their lives. They will engage in similar desert spirituality that Jesus and many early Christian communities would have engaged in while enjoying the outdoors, good food, and the joy of time spent in fellowship with each other.
