Lindsey brings both an extensive background in education and a foundational love of and history with our church to the role of Director of Children’s Ministries. Lindsey grew up in New Canaan and at the Congregational Church. She was a Sunday school teen volunteer and participated in all youth group programs. She served as an advisor for YG for three years while pursuing a master’s degree in elementary special education at Columbia University Teachers College. Lindsey taught special education in an inclusive classroom for eight years at the Manhattan School for Children in New York City. She was responsible for adapting and modifying the early childhood curriculum for accessibility, specializing in assistive technology for non-verbal communication. Lindsey has just recently moved back to New Canaan with her husband, Sam, and their two children, Emma and Charlie. She is excited to bring her teaching experience to Children’s Ministries.
