Read: Psalm 19

The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims His handiwork. Psalm 19:1

We often forget about God, or rather, we are fairly unmindful of God. We keep our heads down, our noses to the grindstone, and our focus fixed firmly on the tasks at hand. As a result, our view is limited, and we miss out on the expansive goodness, the majestic glory, and the awe-inspiring grandeur of God and the created order.

The good news is that the heavens themselves speak to the presence of God. Step outside on a starlit night, take a walk in the woods, wake up in time to witness the brilliant hues of color in a sunrise. Take time to take in the beauty of creation . . . and be reminded of God.

When was the last time you stopped to admire the handiwork of God?

Lord, remind me to look up. I keep my head down far too long, absorbed in whatever I am doing. Elevate my sight and my spirit so that I can go through my days mindful of Your presence and Your purpose for me. In Your name, I pray. AMEN.
