Karl is from San Antonio, Texas, where he was the Music Director for Covenant Presbyterian Church. He was born and raised in Kilgore, Texas, and attended First Christian Church (Disciples Of Christ) which provided a strong foundation and rich heritage of sacred music. Karl received his BM and MM from Texas State University, studying composition and conducting. In addition to his background in church music, Karl is a composer/music director/collaborative musician who is at home in both the worlds of musical theater and opera. When not making music, Karl enjoys hiking with his dog, Arya.
