Director of Music Ministries

The Director of Music Ministries (DMM) is a full-time position as a choral director, organist, educator and administrator. Reporting to the Senior Minister, the DMM oversees the entire music program of the Church.

Senior Youth Director

The Senior Youth Director’s role includes strategic leadership and envisioning of programming, management of staff, a relational ministry commitment with the youth of the community, and execution of said ministry.

Professional Sextet Choir Member: Baritone/Bass

The Congregational Church of New Canaan (UCC), a welcoming, inclusive, and compassionate church community in Fairfield County, Connecticut, seeks a baritone/bass to join the professional sextet that forms the core of the 20-voice Chancel Choir. Candidates should have the ability to sing a wide range of sacred music, flexibility of sound depending on genre, and strong sightreading skills. The usual weekly calls include a Thursday rehearsal from 7:30-9pm and a Sunday warm-up at 9am followed by a service at 10am. Compensation is $100 for Thursday rehearsals and $150 for Sunday services. Additional services include Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Easter, and Christmas Eve (all are compensated). Solo opportunities are available throughout the church year and are rotated through the sextet.
