Greer Lyle is proud to serve God’s Acre through music ministry. Greer joined the staff as the soprano section leader in the Chancel Choir in 2021. Ms. Lyle is a soprano whose artistry is blooming in the opera world today, being noted for her ability to “combine brilliance with subtle nuance.” (Rutland Herald) Ms. Lyle debuted professionally in 2018 as a Gerdine Young Artist with the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. Once there, she earned the Gaddes Career Award and an invitation to return as a Gerdine Young Artist in 2019. In the spring of 2021, Ms. Lyle competed at the semifinalist level for the first ever live-streamed Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, now the Laffont Competition. Greer is a graduate of the renowned Yale School of Music, where she attended on full scholarship, receiving a Certificate in Performance in May 2022.

Greer is passionate not only about her solo musical pursuits but also about ensuring the equitable education and preservation of classical music. Ms. Lyle has a studio of over 40 children in New York City teaching voice and piano. Greer has extensive experience working with children and youth choirs, serving as Musical Director of Children’s Theatre for the Center of the Arts in Carrollton, Georgia, for over ten years. In Georgia, Greer also served Bethesda Baptist Church as Children’s Choir Director and privately taught music to children of all ages. In hopes to continue preserving the classical arts as best she can, Ms. Lyle is pursuing a Bachelor of Liberal Arts with a concentration in Business Administration and Management at the Harvard Extension School.
