Michael is a freelance collaborative musician in Connecticut. He retired from Christ & Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Westport, in September 2021, where he was the organist-choirmaster and artistic director of the Music & Arts Series for 22 years. Previously, since the age of 12, he served congregations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and California. Michael holds degrees from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey and the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York; major teachers included David Craighead, Harald Vogel, Donald McDonald, and Raymond Ocock. Also an experienced choral singer, he has performed both as an organist and singer throughout the United States, United Kingdom, and Europe. Michael is a member of the Association of Anglican Musicians and the American Guild of Organists, and has held various leadership positions in both organizations over the years.
